‘Massive’: Tiresome Jarrod Bowen comments will be like a broken record to West Ham fans

Jarrod Bowen has made comments about West Ham United’s defeat to Manchester United, but it’s like a broken record to West Ham fans.

The Hammers lost 1-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, and it was a really disappointing result in the end.

West Ham dominated the final 15/20 minutes of the game and in fairness, we deserved at least a point from the contest.

David Moyes has a terrible record away at the big six. However, he suggested that the media asking him about why his teams haven’t won away more often against the big boys is actually a good thing, because it highlights the progress we’ve made as a club.

I think he’s missing the point.

And West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen might be as well…

Jarrod Bowen makes ‘positive’ claim about West Ham after Man United defeat

The Hammers attacker was nowhere near his best on Sunday afternoon, once again. He really does need to rediscover his best stuff, if we are to enjoy a decent season.

It’s not just Jarrod though. There are four or five West Ham players who are nowhere near the levels they should be at this stage of the season.

Moyes has to perform better as well in my opinion. Setting up with more attacking intent against the big boys away from home from the first whistle would be a great place to start.

We can’t keep getting unlucky. There has to come a point where Moyes realises something is not working with the way in which he sets up his team.

Bowen spoke to reporters about our defeat to Manchester United, and sounded like a broken record, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

I don’t know how we didn’t get something out of that game. That second-half performance was a massive positive for us. In the first half, we were a bit sloppy, but in the second half, you saw the levels we want to be at every game. There were lots of chances, the keeper making saves, even my chance at the end. Sometimes when it is not falling for you, those are the fine margins that decide the game [don’t go your way]. We did everything but score – no one would disagree that we deserved something from this game.

The problem for West Ham is that things haven’t been falling for us for quite some time now.

That harsh reality of the matter is that the Hammers have been in poor form since the start of the calendar year – relegation form when you take out points per game since January into consideration.

David Moyes is under real pressure to start delivering results for West Ham. Nothing less than six points from our remaining two Premier League games before the World Cup will do.

Jarrod Bowen highlighted how West Ham United’s performance during our 1-0 defeat to Manchester United was a ‘massive positive’.

Ironically, much like our performances, it’s getting a bit boring now isn’t it?
