Hammers legend Mark Noble says he’d don a disguise to watch his son if he ever signed for West Ham’s bitter rivals Spurs.
Tottenham and West Ham fans may not get on. But they are two clubs who love nothing more than seeing one of their own become a first team hero.
Harry Kane will go down as one of the best homegrown talents in Premier League history with Tottenham Hotspur.
But so too will West Ham’s Noble for his influence and unwavering committment.
Noble brought the curtain down on his career as a West Ham player back in May after 550 senior appearances across 18 years in a Claret and Blue shirt.

And he will return to the club in an official capacity on January 2nd 2023 after being named West Ham’s Sporting Director.
It was against Tottenham that Noble in many ways truly announced himself many years ago in that famous 4-3 defeat at Upton Park.
Noble actually named White Hart Lane as his favourite away ground to play at in several interviews during his playing career (The Times).
But how would Mr West Ham feel about going to Tottenham every week in retirement if fate dealt him a very difficult dilemma?

The former midfielder’s young boy Lenny is in the academy at West Ham.
And Noble says he’d don a disguise to watch his son if he ever signed for West Ham’s bitter rivals Spurs.
The hypothetical situation was put to Nobes in a new interview for The Social on SportBible.
Noble was gracious in his answer and recounted some funny memories of playing at Tottenham with West Ham.
“Straight away I’d think what it’d be like walking to a game! to watch him play there would be strange,” Noble said on SportBible’s The Social.

“A few times I played at Spurs one time I got a burger, I think it was a sausage or a burger at the back of my neck, from taking a corner. With ketchup on. I had to wipe the ketchup off my shirt.
“The last time I went to Spurs away, we walked in around the back of the goal and there was a fella standing there in the crowd and as I walked past he shouted “Mark” and I looked at him and I thought ‘Ah, does he know me from somewhere?’ And he went “Guess what” and I went ‘what mate’ and he went “I’ve got as many England caps as you”.
“It made me laugh and I thought that’s probably something I would do if I was sitting in the crowd as a supporter.
“If he (my son) is ever good enough to play for a Spurs team then I’d probably stick on a fake moustache and a beard and go and watch him play.”
