A couple of years ago, a report claimed that David Moyes and his staff loved the young midfielder.

Moyes also included Appiah-Forson in multiple European squads, giving him two senior appearances against Dynamo Zagreb and FCSB respectively.

So with that in mind, his exit on deadline day came as a real surprise…

The 21-year-old has joined the Daggers on a season-long loan.

The fact that he left on loan isn’t a huge shock, he wouldn’t have been getting regular football at the London Stadium this season that’s for sure.

However, the fact that he has joined a National League club is a big surprise.

Considering how much Moyes rated West Ham starlet Keenan Appiah-Forson, for him to drop down four divisions really is a sign that he might not be developing in the way that the Scot and his staff had hoped.

After a loan move like this one, I really can’t imagine the young midfielder having any kind of future with the Hammers unfortunately.
