Only Manchester City and Chelsea have won more Premier League points this calendar year than West Ham.

One thing that has underpinned our fantastic run is the team spirit currently present at the London Stadium.

David Moyes deserves huge credit for the manner in which he has galvanised this group of players and turned them from Premier League also rans into genuine top four contenders.

Jamie Redknapp highlights amazing West Ham stat

The Hammers’ incredible team spirit is clear and obvious for everyone to see.

You can’t go eight Premier League away games unbeaten without it. And Redknapp told Sky Sports what he thinks makes that stat particularly impressive:

“What’s amazing about that stat there is that 13 of those 20 points have been won from losing positions as well. To be able to turn it around when you’re losing to have that desire to get back into games shows you the spirit they’ve got.”

Those 20 points have been accumulated with wins against Aston Villa, Everton, Leeds, Newcastle West Brom and Burnley and draws with Southampton and Brighton.

To gain 13 points from losing positions in our last eight Premier League away games really is something special.

It proves just how strong the mentality of the West Ham players is now.
