The 29-year-old right-back sustained a slight groin injury against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup a few weeks ago.

Coufal clearly wasn’t quite right during the Hammers’ games against Brentford and Leeds.

The defender was then forced to withdraw from the Czech Republic squad for their matches during the latest international break.

That was a real worry for the West Ham fans considering the fact that our backup right-back Ryan Fredericks is also suffering with injury problems of his own.

Insiders Claret and Hugh claim that Coufal’s body was in desperate need of a rest considering how much football he has played over the past 18 months.

And the two weeks off he has just been given has done him the world of good as he tries to recover from his groin niggle.

Having Vlad available for our game at Goodison Park on Sunday will be a massive boost for West Ham and David Moyes.

The Czech ace is one of the most important players the Scot has at his disposal at the London Stadium.
