West Ham United boss David Moyes has criticised the Premier League for the the scheduling of games this season.
Every single Premier League club who are playing in Europe this season face three games a week up until the break for the World Cup in November.

It was always going to be a problem when the winter World Cup in Qatar was announced, with little concern for player welfare.
At the end of the day though, it’s the same for most teams in the league. Games are coming thick and fast for every team, but we have to say, West Ham seem to be bearing the brunt of it…
David Moyes fumes at Premier League about West Ham fixtures
The Hammers have pretty much had a game every three or four days this season, and that will continue up until the World Cup begins in November.
If we are still in Europe, it will continue on in to the new year as well.
And Moyes told reporters how he believes that the scheduling of fixtures for his team just isn’t fair, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“I was concerned about the last week. The Chelsea game was put on the Saturday because Chelsea had a game on Tuesday. There is no point complaining anymore. There is no point in even mentioning in. We played Thursday-Sunday-Wednesday-Saturday. If you look at our programme it became so difficult. That is why we need the squad and that is why we need all those players fit because of the amount of games we have got. It does not get any easier as we go on. I think we are due to play Bournemouth on a Monday night and on Thursday as well – and the Sunday. It is a long way away. We see that as completely unfair. Why would we be asked to play Monday night, Thursday night and Sunday? Just like this week, we have been asked to play Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday – and a Thursday as well. That is four games in nine days or something. Last week was really tough but the effort the players put in right to end at Chelsea to nearly get something was great.”
Moyes certainly has a point doesn’t he.
There is absolutely no reason why we should be playing on a Monday night before a Thursday UEFA Europa Conference League game.
It seems as though other countries cater to their teams who are playing in Europe whereas the Premier League sometimes make it even more difficult for the English clubs.
David Moyes has made it very clear that he’s not happy with the West Ham fixture scheduling this season. Whether the Premier League accomodate us and make changes like they did for Chelsea last week remains to be seen though.
We won’t hold our breath.
