Tomas Soucek spoke to the media after West Ham beat Watford on Tuesday night and absolutely raved about Jarrod Bowen.
The Hammers earned a vital three points against Watford as the race for the top four starts to really heat up.
And we had Jarrod Bowen to thank…once again.

Signed from Hull City for just £18 million back in January 2020 (The Mirror), the powerful, pacy winger has bagged 20 goals and 20 assists in 87 games for the Hammers. This term, he’s racked up 11 goals and 10 assists in 34 games (Transfermarkt).
The 25-year-old has been thoroughly sensational for West Ham recently and David Moyes must be absolutely delighted that he brought him to the London Stadium just over two years ago.

Bowen has bagged seven goals and four assists in his last 10 games in all competitions for the Hammers. And it seems as though he just keeps getting better and better.
Tomas Soucek raves about West Ham teammate
The 26-year-old Hammers midfielder hasn’t been at his best this season, far from it in fact. And as a result, other players have had to stand up and be counted.
Without Soucek’s goals, we’re had to rely on Jarrod Bowen to make things happen for us.
And the Czech Republic international told WHUFC.com just how impressed he has been by his 25-year-old teammate this season:

“I am happy that Jarrod scored. He could’ve added a second one, but 1-0 was enough in the end. He’s in great form. We are happy that we have him because he’s a good guy and a good player. He shows us every day at Rush Green, the training ground, and also he transfers it to the games. He’s an important player. I hope that he will keep performing at the same level and hopefully another player will add some goals to his and the team’s.”
If West Ham are to have any chance whatsoever of fishing inside the top four this season then Bowen needs to continue his magnificent form between now and May.
Hopefully Soucek will rediscover his best stuff as well.
And judging by the Czech’s comments, he has the perfect example to follow in training in the shape of Jarrod Bowen.
