Gazza in fine spirits, makes West Ham claim

The footballing legend seems to be happy at the moment. That really is great to see.

Gascoigne, 54, was speaking with YouTuber Just Jack when he made the claim that he nearly joined West Ham United 36 years ago:

“I nearly signed for West Ham, I wanted to…when I was 18. I knew West Ham were a good team and I pretended I was my own agent and rang up Newcastle United and said ‘I’m Paul Gascoigne’s agent, he wants to move to West Ham’, they said Gazza you’re not going anywhere and put the phone down.”
