An update from Fabrizio Romano leaves West Ham hopes over Chelsea star in tatters as Armando Broja worst case scenario is confirmed.
Longstanding West Ham target Broja suffered what looked to be a terrible injury during the Chelsea vs Aston Villa friendly out in the United Arab Emirates at the weekend.
The Albania international is a truly exceptional young striker, and has a great future ahead of him in the game.

Then Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel resisted West Ham’s interest in Broja during the summer and tied him down to a new deal.
Things have not worked out this season for the big forward, though, with a lack of game time and a change of manager at Chelsea.
At the weekend Broja suffered a horror injury against Villa and his screams after the unfortunate collision with Ezri Konsa could be heard loud and clear.
Now Broja has suffered a serious setback.
And so have any West Ham plans to resurrect their interest in signing a player the Blues are reportedly willing to sell when Christophe Nkunku arrives at Stamford Bridge.
A Fabrizio Romano update leaves West Ham hopes over the Chelsea star in tatters as the Broja worst case scenario is confirmed.
The reporter has confirmed on Twitter that Broja is out for the season and needs surgery after suffering an ACL injury.

“Bad news for Chelsea,” Romano said on Twitter.
“Armando Broja will be out for the rest of the season as he needs surgery after ACL injury — been told he hopes to be ready for the start next season.
“It’s a ruptured cruciate ligament, as called by @NizaarKinsella. Get well soon, @armandobroja9.”
That is such a shame for Broja, who West Ham fans were desperate to see arrive from Chelsea in the summer.
He will undoubtedly come back stronger with Chelsea possessing a top medical team.
But whether West Ham will ever try again for the player following such a serious injury at a young age remains to be seen.
