Declan Rice has sent a message to ex West Ham star Sebastien Haller after a testicular tumour was found following move to Borussia Dortmund.
There is an old saying ‘once a Hammer, always a Hammer’ and that very much applies to our former striker Haller today.
Haller may have divided opinion as a player at West Ham but was a quiet, unassuming and well-liked member of the squad.

The Ivory Coast international has done so well at Ajax since leaving West Ham that he was snapped up by German giants Dortmund a couple of weeks ago.
And as Erling Haaland’s replacement no less.
Haller has only had positive things to say about West Ham since leaving the club, despite things not working out after his record £45m move to the London Stadium.

Now he needs positive thoughts and words sent his way from everyone associated with the Hammers.
Because ex West Ham star Haller has had his career suddenly put on hold due to illness.
Hammers captain Rice has sent a message to ex West Ham star Haller after a testicular tumour was found following his move to Dortmund.
A statement from the German club overnight revealed the player’s illness after feeling unwell during their pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

A tumour was discovered on the 28-year-old former West Ham forward’s testicles.
Ex Hammer Haller has now returned home to Dortmund, where he will undergo specialist treatment in the coming days.
Borussia sporting director Sebastian Kehl told the club website: “This news today came as a shock to Sebastien Haller and to all of us.

“The entire BVB family wishes Sebastien a full recovery as soon as possible and that we can hug him again soon. We will do everything in our power to ensure that he receives the best possible treatment.”
Rice showed his class by sending wishes from West Ham in a message on social media.
“Thoughts are with you my brother!” Rice said to Haller on Twitter alongside a heart emoji.
“Praying you have a speedy recovery.”
You’ve got this Seb, once a Hammer, always a Hammer.
