David Moyes vowed to build an exciting new look West Ham team around talisman Rice when Mark Noble and a host of others departed in the summer.
With £170m spent on eight quality signings, the Scot has been true to his word.
After a slow start West Ham are starting to show signs of gelling as a new-look side.
Additions such as Scamacca and Paqueta are looking top class and West Ham stars Rice and Bowen are slowly finding the form that saw them touted being worth a combined £220m last season.
West Ham have been built on a bedrock of infatigable team spirit under Moyes since his return in 2020.
And there have been concerns that the huge turnaround in the playing staff could damage that key element at the London Stadium.
But those fears will be dispelled by something the Hammers captain has put online.

The simple two-word post alongside a heart emoji and picture of the stars celebrating together during the 3-1 win over Fulham tells West Ham fans everything they need to know about how the team spirit is at the club.
“My brothers,” Rice posted alongside the image of him, Italy’s number nine Scamacca, Brazil’s number 10 Paqueta and England winger Bowen at the London Stadium.
They look every inch a band of brothers.
It is a massive relief to see the new players bonding with the existing stars at West Ham.
When a glut of new signings arrive at a club it can go one of two ways.
You can have far too many and wreck the team spirit and connection not only between the players and staff but also the fans too.
Nottingham Forest being a prime example this season.
Moyes has admitted he ordinarily would not sign eight players in one window. But West Ham were at a crossroads in the summer with a changing of the guard.
The signs are there now that the Hammers can go on and maintain their challenge for the top positions and in Europe.
Let’s hope West Ham can keep it going against Anderlecht and Southampton this week.
