The three points yesterday afternoon was the perfect tonic to our disappointment after being knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday night.

Sure, Norwich are an incredibly poor side, but we can only play who’s in front of us. And the Hammers took care of the Canaries with the minimum of fuss.

Declan Rice put in yet another top-class display…he always does doesn’t he!

The 23-year-old is vitally important to this team and keeping him at the London Stadium will be crucial to our hopes of achieving success over the next few years.

The midfielder would have been delighted with his own performance yesterday and he was clearly very happy with the three points as well…

Declan Rice reacts on Twitter as West Ham beat Norwich

The England international took to Twitter yesterday in reaction to the Hammers’ 4-0 win over Norwich City and posted a very simple four-word tweet:

He’s right. That really was the reaction that the Hammers needed.

Declan Rice led West Ham from start to finish against Norwich. And we need more of the same from the 23-year-old for our final two games of the season against Manchester City and Brighton respectively.

Two wins will secure another top six finish and who knows, even one win could be enough.
