He now has 11 goals and six assists this season – a marked improvement from his numbers last term.

Unfortunately for Benrahma through, he was forced to leave the field in the 75th minute after suffering an ankle injury.

David Moyes brought on Nikola Vlasic in place of the Algerian.

The Athletic’s Roshane Thomas took to Twitter and shared how the Algeria international left the ground on crutches today:

That really is a huge blow for Benny.

He has really struggled since returning from AFCON in February and today’s two goals would have given him a huge confidence boost.

Benrahma possesses so much talent and when he is given the freedom to express himself like he was today, he really is capable of anything.

It seems as though Benrahma may not play again this season though, and that would be a huge shame.

West Ham earned a vital three points against Norwich today but the victory will be a bitter-sweet one if the Algerian is in fact ruled out for the next couple of games.
