David Moyes has suggested that maybe only one English player has been better than Declan Rice this season and he plays for Tottenham!
The 23-year-old Hammers midfielder has been in absolutely sensational form this season, for club and country.

Rice has firmly established himself as one of the very best central midfielders in world football, if not the best.
The 27-capped England international is a real leader at West Ham and he has captained the club when Mark Noble hasn’t been playing for the past couple of seasons now.
He is also a leader in the England dressing room, alongside the likes of Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire.

Tottenham’s Kane is a huge fan favourite at Spurs, just like Dec is at the London Stadium.
Both Rice and Kane have been vitally important for the Hammers and Spurs respectively this season, but who has been better?
David Moyes makes Declan Rice and Harry Kane claim
The Scot was speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference this afternoon.
Moyes responded when asked what he’s made of Rice’s season so far, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“With the exception of maybe Harry Kane in the second half of the season, I think Declan Rice has probably been the pick of the England players who played in the Euros last year. I hope he continues to get better. He’s got lots of improvement in him. He’ll have learned a lot from Mark in leadership. He’s a young man and he’ll get better with experience. He captains West Ham at the moment so he’s certainly going down that line [becoming England captain].”
Kane has found form since the turn of the year for Tottenham.
Since Boxing Day, the 28-year-old Spurs hitman has bagged 17 goals in 28 games for club and country.
Meanwhile, Rice has been consistently good for West Ham all season long.
We’re obviously biased but for us, Rice has been the standout England international in the Premier League this season. And a lot of non-West Ham fans would surely say the same.
Moyes is right though, you can’t disregard Kane’s form since January. Both the Tottenham and West Ham players are exceptional footballers.
Let’s just hope that we get to see Dec strutting his stuff at the London Stadium for many more years to come like the Spurs fans have done with Kane.
