Craig Dawson lifts lid on angry West Ham dressing room after Brentford horror show

Craig Dawson has lifted on the lid on what the West Ham dressing room was like after the 2-0 defeat to Brentford yesterday afternoon.

The Hammers players were nowhere near their best yesterday and they barely laid a glove on the Bees.

2-0 was a more than fair result in the end. Thomas Frank’s side were better than us in every department, it really is as simple as that.

David Moyes would have been really angry with the lack of energy, commitment and effort shown by many of his players at the Brentford Community Stadium yesterday.

One player who did give his all, however, was Craig Dawson…as per usual of course.

Craig Dawson opens up on angry West Ham dressing room

The Hammers players put in arguably their worst performance of the season yesterday against Brentford.

Exhaustion was obviously an issue but the players cannot start telling themselves that they’re tired.

Craig Dawson spoke to WHUFC.com and shared what the West Ham dressing room was like after the 2-0 defeat:

“We’re just focusing on ourselves. It wasn’t the standards we’ve set today, so we’re all disappointed in that changing room and there’s only one way to put it right. We have to take it and come back better. Obviously we’re disappointed today. There are lot of disappointed and angry people in that changing room and hopefully on Thursday night we can change that.”

Hopefully that anger is translated into a top-class performance away at Lyon non Thursday night.

We all need to stick together after yesterday’s defeat to Brentford. We will lose games between now and the end of the season. It’s how we bounce back that matters the most though.

And a win in France later this week will be a great tonic to our defeat in West London yesterday afternoon.
