Ben Johnson has dropped a hint that David Moyes might use Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio together up front for West Ham.
David Moyes brought the 23-year-old Italian striker to the London Stadium in the summer for around £35 million (Sky Sports).
Scamacca has made a huge impression at West Ham already, but Moyes is yet to start him alongside Michail Antonio.
The Hammers fans have been crying out for the Scot to take the plunge and play the two strikers together, especially when we are losing or chasing a game.

It hasn’t happened yet, but one West Ham player has hinted that it is certainly possible…
West Ham ace hints at Scamacca and Antonio playing together
Moyes likes to set his team up with a rigid structure.
With the Scot, the onus is on not losing the game, rather than winning it. And as a result, he just doesn’t play two strikers through the middle.
In fact, he never has throughout his entire career, bar exceptional circumstances.
Ben Johnson told the club’s official website that all that could change, however:

Luca has been a fantastic addition and I think competition in all areas of the pitch makes you play better. For Mick (Michail Antonio) as well, whenever Mick has come in in Europe and in the Premier League as well, he has looked very sharp since Luca has come and I’m sure he’ll have his chance starting again or even playing with both of them up front. He brings us a different option to Mick and I think that’s what you need in a squad.
There will be a time and place for Moyes to try this.
Perhaps the game at home to Bournemouth on Monday will be a good opportunity.
Moyes certainly won’t play Scamacca and Antonio together for West Ham against Liverpool tomorrow night.
Let’s just hope that we see it soon. Premier League defenders certainly won’t relish coming up against the Hammers pair, that’s for sure.
