Alan Pardew spoke very highly of West Ham United ace Jarrod Bowen when speaking to WHUFC.com.

Hammers boss David Moyes brought the 25-year-old attacker to the London Stadium from Hull City in January 2020 for around £20 million (BBC).

And Bowen has proven to be a huge hit at West Ham.

The powerful, hard-working winger has bagged 21 goals and 21 assists in 88 games in all competitions for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).

He seems to have found a new level entirely this term, however, with 12 goals and 11 assists to his name in 35 outings for West Ham (Transfermarkt).

Bowen has made such drastic improvements to his all-round game and he now seems like a shoo-in to be called up for Gareth Southgate’s England squad next month.

He is hugely popular inside the London Stadium. It seems as though he has his admirers outside of East London as well though…

Alan Pardew raves about Jarrod Bowen

The former Hammers manager still keeps a close eye on us from afar.

He is now advising Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia on football matters but that hasn’t stopped him watching his former team this season.

And one player has really stood out for Pards.

He responded when asked by WHUFC.com who David Moyes’s best signing has been since returning to West Ham:

“The Club has made some excellent signings with Jarrod the pick because I didn’t see too many people queuing up to take him from Hull.”

It’s very hard to argue against that. Bowen really has been sensational for the East London outfit.

The next step for Jarrod will be to produce his current form for an entire season and then to start performing on the international stage with England.

The sky really is the limit for Bowen. Not only does he have incredible talent but he also has a work ethic that is unrivalled by anyone else at the very highest level of the game.

He’s well on course for 15 goals and 15 assists this season for West Ham. Anyone who racks up numbers like that should automatically be included in the England squad.

And it will be a travesty if Gareth Southgate once again decides to ignore Jarrod Bowen when naming his Three Lions squad next month.
