Tomas Soucek allegedly could walk away from West Ham if the new contract offer from the club doesn’t meet his demands.
That’s according to claims from football journalist Dean Jones, who told Give Me Sport that he’s been told the 26-year-old could leave the Hammers.
Soucek joined West Ham from Slavia Prague originally on loan in January 2020.

West Ham made the Czech Republic international’s loan move a permanent one in July 2020 for around £15 million (The Daily Mail).
He’s now worth around £40 million according to club insiders Claret and Hugh.
Soucek played an integral role for the Hammers last season, bagging 10 goals in 38 Premier League games (Transfermarkt).

He has been well off the boil this term, however, chalking up just three goals in 22 league games for the East London outfit (Transfermarkt).
In spite of that, the powers that be at the London Stadium are still allegedly trying to tie Soucek down to a new contract.
West Ham ace could walk if new contract doesn’t meet his demands
Soucek’s current deal with West Ham expires in the summer of 2024.
According to a report from The Athletic, the 26-year-old is currently in talks with the club about a new four-year deal.
Dean Jones told Give Me Sport how the Czech Republic International is prepared to leave West Ham if he isn’t offered a deal that meets his demands, however:

“If he’s not satisfied with the offer, he’d walk away from the table, I’m told.”
If we’re being brutally honest here, Soucek is in no position to be demanding a massive new deal. He has been incredibly poor over the past few months.
Granted, he has changed roles to more of a defensive midfielder in order to allow Declan Rice to get forward more.
He still needs to be doing a lot more though. The 26-year-old is definitely suffering with a severe lack of confidence.
Perhaps he needs to be taken out of the firing line for a few games. And David Moyes would then be wise to revert Soucek to his former, more attacking role. Then maybe we would see the best of Soucek once again. And if that happens, he will be in a strong bargaining position with the club when it comes down to discussing a new contract.
