West Ham United attacker Maxwel Cornet could be like a new signing for David Moyes after the World Cup out in Qatar.
The Ivory Coast International moved to the London Stadium from Burnley in the summer transfer window for around £17.5 million (Sky Sports).
David Moyes eased him into action rather than throw him straight into the mix though. And on top of that, Cornet has suffered badly with injuries.
The 26-year-old has played just nine games for West Ham so far this season and 420 minutes in total. Included in those matches is just 86 minutes of Premier League action (Transfermarkt).

There is surely no truth to that rumour though – loaning him out would make zero sense for the Hammers. In fact, I believe that the Ivorian could be a hugely important player for us during the second half of the season…
Cornet could be like a new signing for West Ham after the World Cup
The 26-year-old has bagged five assists in nine games for West Ham so far (Transfermarkt). That’s a very decent return, especially considering how little minutes he has actually played.
The former Burnley man was really unlucky to have a perfectly good goal ruled out during our defeat to Chelsea in September as well.
West Ham desperately need Maxwel Cornet’s versatility in the attacking wide left and right positions.
Moyes just doesn’t have too many options at his disposal at the moment.

The Ivory Coast international possesses pace and power in abundance, and that’s something that we really lack at the moment.
Cornet proved during his time with Burnley and Lyon before that that he can be a real game-changer.
We’ve only seen glimpses of his talent and ability so far at the London Stadium.
I believe he could have a crucial role to play for West Ham after the World Cup break though.
He really could be like a new signing for David Moyes.
