Will West Ham star Lucas Paqueta start for Brazil vs Cameroon in the final World Cup group stage game this evening?

The Samba boys will finish top of Group G, unless they lose to Cameroon and Switzerland beat Serbia by two goals or more.

And as a result, it will be no surprise to see Brazil manager Tite make sweeping changes to his starting XI for tonight’s World Cup clash against Cameroon out in Qatar.

One of the players who could be dropped for tonight is West Ham star Lucas Paqueta. Or should the phrase be ‘rested’, rather than dropped?

It seems as though the 25-year-old could be on the sidelines out in Qatar tonight…

Will Paqueta start for Brazil vs Cameroon in final World Cup group game?

The Hammers star may be set to sit this one out tonight according to a report from Yahoo.

I think that that is actually good news for the Brazilian star.

If he is being left out tonight against Cameroon, then he is clearly being rested by Brazil boss Tite.

Well, that’s the way that I look at it anyway.

Paqueta is a really important player for Brazil, and David Moyes would be wise to learn from how the 25-year-old operates for his country.

The-ex Lyon ace excels when playing as a number 8, and he just doesn’t seem to have operated in that particular role yet for West Ham.

Paqueta will hopefully exit the Word Cup later this month full of confidence after playing a key role for his country.

And him being rested for the Brazil vs Cameroon World Cup clash tonight will be evidence that Tite rates him incredibly highly.
