Wilfried Zaha is being strongly linked with a move to West Ham United from Galatasaray this summer.
West Ham were first mentioned as a potential destination for Wilfried Zaha earlier this summer when it was suggested that he actually could be the first signing under our new manager.
Julen Lopetegui has obviously signed Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham since then, but there’s one position he needs to address urgently.
After Said Benrahma’s permanent move to Lyon was confirmed, the Hammers are now without a right footed left winger.
Zaha would obviously be the perfect man to come in and perform that role for us.
Sure, the Ivory Coast international is not the player he once was physically, but he still has what it takes to make a big difference for us at the very highest level.
He is one of the very best dribblers in the game, and would turn us into a truly frightening attacking outfit.
However, the Hammers’ chances of signing him don’t seem that great, because the offer we’ve reportedly made Galatasaray is a laughable one…
You won’t believe the offer West Ham have made for Wilfried Zaha
The former Crystal Palace man moved out to Turkey to join Galatasaray on a free transfer last season, and went on to bag 10 goals and five assists during their incredible league winning campaign.
The Ivorian has a history of making defenders look silly at the very highest level, with his incredible dribbling ability.

He is a proven Premier League star, and has a reputation of being extremely difficult to play against.
The 31-capped Ivory Coast international is the sort of player who you love if he plays for your club, but hate him if he’s lining up against you! That really is nothing more than a huge compliment to him.
I would love him at West Ham, but there’s seemingly a very big problem.
According to Sporx, the Hammers want to sign Zaha on a free transfer because of his extortionate wage demands.
However, Galatasaray are demanding a fee, so that obviously won’t be happening.
Zaha earns £106k-a-week at Galatasaray (Salary Sport), and he’ll undoubtedly be demanding a lot more than that for the one final big contract of his career.
It was recently claimed that the Hammers will need to pay around £8.5 million, if Lopetegui really wants to bring the Galatasaray star to the London Stadium.
That seems like extremely good value to me, especially considering his output in the Premier League for Palace over the years – 68 goals and 28 assists in 291 games.
The fleet-footed winger is the kind of character that we lack at the London Stadium right now, what with his penchant for winding up the opposition.
I have no doubts that he’d be an exceptional signing for the Hammers.
Whether the West Ham owners will be prepared to pay more than £8 million for Wilfried Zaha this summer, as well as meet his wage demands remains to be seen though.
