And Calcio Mercato claims that Wolfsburg hitman Weghorst is a target for the Scot.
It will cost around £26 million for West Ham to bring the 28-year-old to the London Stadium this summer (Buli News).
Weghorst has scored 25 goals in 41 games for Wolfsburg this season (Transfermarkt).
The 6ft 6in target man is an absolute menace in the air.

The Dutchman would be a great addition for us this summer.
He would provide us with a totally different option through the middle, especially when we are playing against a deep block and need more of an aerial threat.
£26 million does seem to be rather excessive for a player who will be 29 in August, however.
If the Hammers could pick the Wolfsburg hitman up for £20 million or even less it would surely be well worth our while signing him.
