West Ham United are interested in signing Celta Vigo hitman Santi Mina this summer according to a report from Fichajes.
In other news…Report: London born winger has just rejected West Ham move
Hammers boss David Moyes will be desperately searching for a new striker this summer.
In fact, we need at least two new centre-forwards.
West Ham have been linked with every name under the sun since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax back in January.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
And yet another name has now been added to the list.
West Ham chasing Santi Mina
Fichajes claims that the Hammers are hot on the tail of the 25-year-old Spaniard.
The West Ham fans may remember the name Santi Mina. The 25-year-old was a key reason why Maxi Gomez moved to Valencia rather than the Hammers back in 2019.
He was with Los Che and moved to Celta Vigo on a free in order to facilitate Gomez’s move in the opposite direction.
Mina actually began his career with Celta Vigo and has impressed since returning two years ago.
In 70 games for Celta since the start of the 2019/20 season, the 25-year-old has racked up 21 goals and eight assists (Transfermarkt).
Moyes should avoid Mina swoop
He is technically gifted and an incredibly intelligent footballer.
It must be said though, Mina is far from what David Moyes should be looking for.
We need a strong, physically robust goalscorer. Ideally someone who is proven in the Premier League.
The Celta Vigo ace isn’t really any of those things unfortunately.
Fichajes claims that Mina could be available for around £13 million this summer. That is actually decent value.
But in my opinion, West Ham should be looking elsewhere this summer.
