A West Ham United defender could be set for a switch to La Liga in the January transfer window.

The January transfer window will be a busy one for West Ham manager David Moyes, with the Scot desperate for a couple of new additions.

However, there could be some outgoings as well, with Thilo Kehrer being linked with a winter exit from the club, and Eintracht Frankfurt are apparently want to bring him back to the Bundesliga.

However, they are seemingly not the only club chasing the 27-capped Germany international’s signature.

According to a report from Fussball Transfers, Sevilla want to sign Kehrer from the Hammers in the January window.

And it would be a really big surprise in my view, if the 27-year-old swapped East London for southern Spain this winter…

West Ham defender a target for Sevilla in the January window

Fussball Transfers reckon that Sevilla are set to battle Eintracht Frankfurt for the former PSG defender’s signature.

It’s no shock that Kehrer might leave the London Stadium in January, but a move to Sevilla really would be a surprise.

The Spanish outfit are really struggling down near the bottom of La Liga, and are in genuine danger of being relegated to the second division.

Listen, Kehrer has been really poor for West Ham since he moved to the London Stadium in the summer of 2022.

He is not suited to the Premier League whatsoever, with his rash tackling, poor positional awareness and questionable decision making.

I firmly believe that Thilo Kehrer will leave the London Stadium sooner rather than later. That said, I would be very surprised if he joined Sevilla.
