West Ham United have been linked with Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen and Gil Vicente forward Pablo in the January transfer window.
Nuno Espirito Santo has made it clear that he wants to bring in a new number nine as soon as possible.
What do you think about Luis Guilherme LEAVING West Ham? ✈️ 🇧🇷
Are they giving up on him too soon?
Despite having Callum Wilson, he has often left him on the bench and even when he starts, the 33-year-old is usually taken off in the second half.
West Ham were even considering a bid for Strand Larsen in order to bring in a new striker as soon as possible.
Pablo also emerged as a target, and things appear to have progressed on that front.
West Ham end Strand Larsen pursuit
According to the Sun, the Hammers are no longer keen on signing Strand Larsen from Wolves.
The bottom-placed Premier League side were looking for £40million for the Norway international.
As West Ham close in on a £17million deal for Pablo, the Wolves forward is no longer of interest to them.
Quick developments took place on New Year’s Eve and Pablo has been identified as the one to fire the London Stadium outfit out of trouble.

What will Pablo bring to the table for West Ham?
With West Ham looking for a young and versatile option to lead the line, the 21-year-old Portuguese attacker appears to be the perfect fit.
He could hit the ground running in the Premier League this season on the back of impressive goal-scoring form in the Portuguese top-flight.
Pablo looks set to be West Ham’s first signing of January…💪
What are YOUR thoughts on this deal?
Pablo has fired Gil Vicente to fourth place in the league by scoring 10 goals and providing an assist in 13 games for them.
Primarily a central striker, he is capable on the right as well, so there could be moments in games when he and Jarrod Bowen switch positions.
This would give the Irons fluidity in the final third as compared to the one-dimensional way they have been playing in recent weeks.
Given his age and style of play, he should not have any issues in adapting to the physicality and tempo of the Premier League, but it is imperative that Nuno plays to his strengths.
