West Ham United are on the trail of Napoli centre-back Nikola Maksimovic according to Napoli expert Ciro Venerato, as quoted via Area Napoli.

Calcio Mercato.it recently claimed that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 29-year-old centre-back to the London Stadium this summer.
The West Ham manager desperately needs to make two or three top class signings this summer.
The Scot will surely be prioritising moves to sign a centre-forward and a central midfielder. He will undoubtedly be keen to sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal from Manchester United as well.

With Fabian Balbuena facing an uncertain future at the London Stadium, signing an established centre-back this summer may well be a smart move for the Hammers.
Napoli expert Ciro Venerato, as quoted via Area Napoli, reckons Nikola Maksimovic is a target for West Ham:
“Maksimovic could greet Napoli also for a tactical issue, but it is not only Inter Milan that likes him. West Ham are also on his trail.”
The Serbia international would be a very useful addition for the Hammers.
In 16 Serie A outings for Napoli this season, Maksimovic has averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 2.8 clearances per game. He has also won an average of 1.9 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).
He will be a free agent at the end of the season if he fails to agree terms on a new deal with Napoli.
The 29-year-old is a grizzly, seasoned defender and picking him up on a free transfer this summer seems like an absolute no brainer for West Ham.
