According to football journalist Pedro Almeida, West Ham United have already made an offer for Blackburn striker Alan Armstrong.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bring a new striker to the London Stadium in the summer.

West Ham sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax in January. Inexplicably, Moyes failed to bring in a replacement for the Ivory Coast international.

Whether that was actually the Scot’s decision or the board’s is up for debate.

What’s done is done, however. West Ham must now rectify their centre-forward deficiencies in the summer.

The Hammers have been linked with a whole host of strikers since January.

One of the names who has persistently been linked with a move to the London Stadium is Adam Armstrong.

The Sun recently claimed that West Ham are ready to make a £25 million bid for the 24-year-old striker.

West Ham table Adam Armstrong offer

Football journalist Pedro Almeida has now claimed that the Hammers have already actually made a €30 million (£25 million) bid for the Blackburn ace:

Now, Almeida has a history of being bang on the money, usually with transfers involving Portuguese and Brazilian sides.

So it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

If anything, £25 million for Armstrong seems to be a little steep.

The 24-year-old is a top class striker. He is out of contract with Blackburn in the summer of 2022, however. So West Ham would surely be able to pick him up for quite a bit cheaper than the £25 million quoted by Pedro Almeida.
