West Ham United want to sign Stoke City centre-back Harry Souttar this summer according to a report from The Express.

Hammers boss David Moyes is expected to be a busy man this summer.
The Scot will be desperate to bring a centre-forward and a central midfielder to the London Stadium at the end of the season. He will surely be keen to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United on a permanent deal as well.
West Ham haven’t been linked with many defensive reinforcements as yet, however.

Centre-back is one of the areas where West Ham are fairly well stocked.
Nevertheless, The Express claims that the Hammers are lining up a summer bid for Stoke centre-back Harry Souttar at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old joined the Potters from Dundee United for a nominal fee way back in 2016.
The Scotland born Australia international has really impressed for Stoke this season.

West Ham signing Harry Souttar would be good business
The towering 6ft 6in centre-back has racked up one goal and three assists in 32 Championship appearances for Stoke this season.
During those outings, the 22-year-old has averaged 1.2 tackles, 1.4 interceptions, 5.4 clearances and 0.7 blocks per game. He has also won an average of 5.3 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).
Those really are some impressive defensive numbers.
Harry Souttar would be a very useful addition for West Ham. He is strong, good in the air and reads the game very well.
The Express claims that the Hammers would have to pay a ‘significant fee’ if they are to prise him away from Stoke, however.
