West Ham United have allegedly made an ‘important offer’ for talented Juventus left-back Luca Pellegrini.

That’s according to a report from Corriere dello Sport (print edition June 25th, page 25) who claim that the Hammers are now in pole position to sign the 23-year-old Juventus star.

The East London outfit have allegedly already been in talks with Pellegrini’s agent.

Signing a new left-back will be one of the main priorities for West Ham manager David Moyes before the start of the new season.

The Scot bringing a top-class left-sided full-back to the London Stadium to compete with Aaron Cresswell will take the Hammers to another level in my opinion.

And it seems as though Moyes has his heart set on one man in particular…

West Ham make offer for Juventus left-back

Corriere dello Sport reckon that the Hammers are leading the race to sign Luca Pellegrini.

In fact, the Italian publication suggest that West Ham have made an ‘important offer’ for the Italian.

And we think that Pellegrini would be a very strong signing indeed for the Hammers.

The 23-year-old could be available for just £8.5 million this summer according to Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition June 22nd, page 11).

That’s extremely good value in my book.

Pellegrini has bags of pace, is an able defender and offers a lot going forward as well. He is at an age where he will undoubtedly continue to improve at a fairly fast rate as well.

Pellegrini joined Juventus from Roma in 2019 for around £19 million (SI Soccer). He made an immediate impression in Turin but hasn’t been a regular starter over the past 18 months.

The 23-year-old is an attacking full-back by nature and can also operate further up the pitch if need be.

He actually rejected a move to West Ham in the summer of 2021 because he wanted to stay and fight for his place at Juve (Bianconero).

That obviously hasn’t worked out for him though. And a move to the London Stadium would be a smart step for his career.

Whether West Ham have actually made an offer that Juventus deem as acceptable for Italian left-back Luca Pellegrini remains to be seen though.
