Lazio want to sign West Ham United centre-back Fabian Balbuena according to a report from Corriere dello Sport (Print edition, Wednesday April 14th).
The 29-year-old is out of contact with the Hammers in the summer.
And it seems as though he could be moved on by David Moyes.
Balbuena’s agent Renato Bittar recently told Versus Radio that his client could leave West Ham at the end of this season.
And the Paraguay international admitted himself that his days at the London Stadium could be numbered, when speaking to D 10 recently:
“I’m not aware of anything. I just focus on finishing the season well and then I’ll see what happens. It has been almost three years since I left Corinthians and I still feel very loved. In the future you never know, I could go back but we’ll see at the end of the season.”
Signed from Corinthians in the summer of 2018 for around £3.6 million (Transfermarkt), Balbuena has been a decent servant for West Ham.
West Ham exit on the cards for Fabian Balbuena?
The 29-year-old is now a transfer target for the Serie A giants according to a report from Corriere dello Sport (Print edition, Wednesday April 14th).
The Paraguay international has been a pretty good player for the Hammers.
Let’s not kid ourselves, however. He is average at best.
And releasing Balbuena on a free transfer in the summer would 100 per cent be the right call.
