West Ham have turned to Liverpool for help to find a Jesse Lingard solution with new enquiry for longstanding David Moyes target.
After more than a year chasing Lingard – and having reportedly been on the verge of finally sealing the deal – West Ham’s pursuit of a reunion looks set to end in tears.
And it seems Liverpool could well come to West Ham’s aid.

The Hammers are reportedly set to miss out to newly-promoted Nottingham Forest for Lingard’s signature on a free transfer.
In many respects Liverpool owe West Ham something of a favour in the transfer market.
Jurgen Klopp admitted West Ham forced him to act fast to bring Luis Diaz to Liverpool in January.
And Moyes confirmed he almost had the Colombian attacker in what would have been a simply sensational signing (Daily Mail and The Mirror).

West Ham turn to Liverpool for help to find Jesse Lingard solution with new enquiry for David Moyes target
Liverpool were at it again this summer, moving to sign striker Darwin Nunez after being alerted to his availability by West Ham’s unsuccessful attempts to sign the Uruguayan in January.
The Reds had been heavily linked with big Klopp favourite Jarrod Bowen until Mohamed Salah signed his new deal recently.
Now West Ham have turned to Liverpool for help to find a Lingard solution with a new enquiry for Moyes target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

With West Ham’s move for Lingard doomed to failure, Moyes is said to have renewed interest in Liverpool’s bit-part midfield ace Oxlade-Chamberlain.
According to Anfield Central, Klopp still sees Oxlade-Chamberlain as a key player and is hesitant about weakening his squad.
Fabrizio Romano claimed that Oxlade-Chamberlain leaving was a possibility, as he said on his Daily Briefing with Caught Offside: “Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be one to watch. He has received approaches, but there are no official offers on the Liverpool table yet.”

“West Ham have made a ‘soft inquiry’ for Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as they seek a Jesse Lingard replacement,” Anfield Central report.
“Despite most of their business being conducted already, there is potential for them to sell one or two fringe players before the window shuts…
“According to West Ham Central, the East-London club has made a ‘soft enquiry’ over the potential signing of the 28-year-old Englishman.
“The outlet claim that the 28-year-old is viewed as an alternative to Lingard and mentions a figure of around £10M as a possible transfer value.”

There is no doubting the midfielder’s quality but his problem – much like his former Arsenal teammate and West Ham man Jack Wilshere – has always been injuries.
And guess what West Ham fans? Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently injured.
The alleged West Ham target suffered an injury setback in Liverpool’s pre-season game against Crystal Palace and Jurgen Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “I don’t know exactly how long it will take but he will be back and then it’s all fine.”
