West Ham tried to sign World Cup winning superstar Antoine Griezmann with bizarre contract agreement coming to light it has been claimed.
The Hammers signed eight players during the summer transfer window to the tune of around £160m net.
That included what West Ham declared to be their new club record signing in the shape of Brazil star Lucas Paqueta and £35m Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca.
West Ham also secured the permanent transfer of French World Cup winner Alphonse Areola as part of a busy summer.
And it seems David Moyes allegedly wanted one of Areola’s international teammates at West Ham too.
Because West Ham allegedly “tried” to sign World Cup winning superstar Antoine Griezmann with his bizarre contract agreement coming to light.
That’s according to claims from Spain.

West Ham tried to sign World Cup winning superstar Antoine Griezmann with bizarre contract agreement coming to light – claim
“Manchester United, Chelsea, West Ham and Juventus tried to sign Antoine Griezmann,” Atletico Universe claims quoting sources in Spain.
“But they always found the same answer: he does NOT want to leave.”
Alleged West Ham target Griezmann’s bizarre situation at Atletico Madrid has come to light in recent weeks.
Griezmann, 31, is currently half-way through a two-year loan spell from Barcelona.
A deal for the Frenchman would be made permanent if certain conditions are met, which includes a certain number of minutes in his second season in the Spanish capital.

Griezmann must play 45 minutes in 14 of Atletico’s matches, which would trigger a clause in his contract. Griezmann is yet to start for Diego Simeone’s side, coming on for Atletico at minute 64, minute 62 and minute 75 in their first three matches of the new campaign.
It means the club would have to pay Barca £35million (€40m) to secure him on a permanent basis in 2023.
The Griezmann West Ham claims may seem somewhat outlandish.
But they appear to tally with an admission from West Ham boss Moyes last week.

The Scot told reporters that people would “burst out laughing” if they knew who West Ham had bid for this summer and admits he has lost count of the number of players they’ve targeted.
“We’ve bid for a lot of players and if I told you who, you would burst out laughing and say ‘you’re kidding’,” Moyes said last week (The Independent).
“Maybe we’ve tried to go way above our station, but we have tried to get really top players because I knew we needed it.”
