West Ham can sign Benfica striker Haris Seferovic for around £21 million according to a report from A Bola.
The Hammers need for a top class striker has been well-documented since we sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax in January.
David Moyes must get the centre-forward signing right this summer.
O Jogo (print edition, July 5th, page 13) reported a couple of weeks ago that Benfica hitman Haris Seferovic is a target for West Ham.
The 29-year-old was thought to be available for around £25 million then.
West Ham told fee needed for Haris Seferovic
The 79-capped Switzerland international will now cost just £21 million according to A Bola.
That is still too expensive for what we would be getting, however.
Surely West Ham could and should be aiming a lot higher than signing the 29-year-old Benfica hitman.
Seferovic is a hard worker with very good movement, but his finishing isn’t the best and he has been known to miss some real sitters throughout his career.
The 29-year-old is decent in the air and would act as a good focal point for the Hammers’ attacking play.
His career goalscoring record of 116 goals in 408 career games just isn’t good enough though (Transfermarkt).
West Ham should steer clear this summer. Even for the reported price of £21 million.
