The 28-year-old enjoyed a wonderful loan spell with the Hammers last season.
He moved to the London Stadium in January and went on to bag nine goals and four assists in just 16 Premier League games for West Ham.
David Moyes tried to bring Jesse back on a permanent deal throughout the summer but was unsuccessful in his quest. The Scot recently described the Manchester United ace as an ‘exceptional’ player (Evening Standard).

The Hammers signed Nikola Vlasic in the end. That doesn’t mean that they won’t pursue Lingard again, however.
West Ham to go back in for Lingard in January
That’s according to Caught Offside.
And if the Hammers are successful in bringing the 28-year-old to the London Stadium in the winter, Moyes really will have an exciting group of attackers at his disposal.

Lingard could be available for around £20 million according to The Express.
That’s great value. Much will depend on how much football he plays at Old Trafford between now and January of course.
