And the 28-year-old is allegedly keen on the idea of moving back to the London Stadium.

David Moyes absolutely loves Lingard and recently labelled him as an ‘incredible’ player (Claret and Hugh).

The Scot wants to bring him back to West Ham in January (The Daily Star).

Lingard was a huge hit during his loan spell with the Hammers last season.

He bagged nine goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games for the East London outfit.

Jesse returned to Old Trafford in the summer but has hardly been given any minutes by Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

West Ham to sign Jesse Lingard in January?

If the 28-year-old wants to earn a spot in the England World Cup squad next year, he needs to be playing regular club football.

It’s clear as day that he won’t be getting that at Man United. So an exit from Old Trafford is surely needed for him.

And Ex thinks that a return to West Ham could be on the cards (The West Ham Way podcast):

“Moyes has made it very clear that he thinks he needs another forward. I believe that they’ll try to make a move for Jesse Lingard again. As we all know he hasn’t got his chance at Manchester United and his contract is up in the summer. He seems to be not really valued at the club and I think he’d be interested in a move back. His brother, who is also his agent, has made it clear that Jesse misses time at West Ham. Also, Lingard keeps speaking positively about the club.”

We would love to have Jesse back at the London Stadium.

Especially with Said Benrahma heading off to the Africa Cup of Nations in the new year for around 4-6 weeks.

We all know what Lingard is capable of and Jesse loves being at West Ham.

The the solution to his current lack of game-time seems like an obvious one.

David Moyes just needs to get this one done…and then we really will be a force in the Premier League.
