Earlier this week we covered a report from Sky Sports claiming that the Hammers are weighing up an approach to sign the 24-year-old Reds centre-back.
David Moyes is desperate to bring a top class centre-back to the London Stadium this summer.
Liverpool ace Phillips proved last year that he’s got the lot.

The Reds man has everything that Moyes looks for in a player.
He’s a hard-worker, is an absolute warrior and is incredibly dominating in the air.
Michail Antonio knows all about that!
West Ham register interest in Nat Phillips
The Athletic claims that the Hammers have let it be known to the Reds that they want to sign the 24-year-old centre-back along with German club Bayer Leverkusen.
Jurgen Klopp could let Phillips leave Anfield this summer, with so many central defenders now ahead of him in the pecking order at Liverpool.

In 17 Premier League outings for the Reds last season, the 24-year-old averaged 1.3 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 4.8 clearances and 0.8 blocks per game. He also won an average of 5.6 aerial duels per match during those appearances (Who Scored).
Those are some very impressive numbers.
