West Ham are still eyeing up a move to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja before the transfer window slams shut in 12 days time.

That’s according to a report from talkSPORT who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes could target a move to sign the Chelsea hitman late on in the window.

The Scot has already brought Gianluca Scamacca to the London Stadium.

That doesn’t mean that he is no longer interested in Broja though.

We would absolutely love to see the 14-capped Albania international join the Hammers. The thought of Broja lining up alongside Gianluca Scamacca is a hugely exciting one.

And it seems as though Moyes could still try to make that a reality…

West Ham still keen on Armando Broja

The 20-year-old Blues ace is still very much on the Hammers’ radar according to a report from talkSPORT.

Hopefully Moyes manages to pull this one off somehow.

The Sun journalist Tom Barclay recently told Give Me Sport that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will demand at least £40 million for the young forward this summer.

Whilst we can’t see West Ham paying that for Broja, we do think that a season-long loan with an option to sign hm permanently next summer could suit all parties involved.

He has been described as an ‘exceptional’ striker by The Athletic. Meanwhile, One Football label him as ‘lethal’. And Albania coach Sergio Porrini called him ‘devastating’.

Broja seems to be ideally suited to West Ham and considering the way in which he stretches the opposition with tireless runs into the channels, it’s easy to see why Moyes wants to sign him.

The Chelsea owned ace is strong, quick and is a really, really good finisher. Broja bagged nine goals and one assist in 36 games for Southampton last term (Transfermarkt).

It is his all around game that has been the most impressive thing about him though. The way in which he holds up the ball with his back to goal and brings others into play has been truly magnificent to watch.

The striker absolutely tore the Hammers apart last season, bagging one goal and one assist in three appearances against us. He gave our defenders nightmares and was a total menace to our back line during all three clashes.

It’s easy to forget at times that the Albania international is just 20-years-old-old! It’s not often that someone of that age bags nine goals in a season.

He really does seem to be a very special talent.

Whether West Ham manage to prise him away from Chelsea this summer remains to be seen though.
