West Ham United have apparently made an improved offer for Club Brugge attacking midfielder Hans Vanaken.
That’s according to a report from The Guardian who claim that negotiations between the two clubs are set to continue in the coming days.

Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly keen to sign an attacking midfielder this summer, having missed out on bringing Jesse Lingard to the London Stadium last month.
It has been reported that Vanaken is keen to join West Ham this summer.
West Ham made an £8.5 million offer for the 21-capped Belgium international but Club Brugge want closer to £17 million (90 Min).

And it seems as though negotiations are still going on between the Hammers and the Belgian side…
West Ham make improved Vanaken offer
The Hammers have upped their bid for the 29-year-old attacking midfielder according to a report from The Guardian.
Quite how much Club Brugge will be willing to sell him for remains to be seen, however.
Vanaken is a very good player. In fact, he has been described as ‘outstanding’ by TEAMtalk.
The Belgian bagged 16 goals and seven assists in 45 games in the 2020/21 season and racked up 15 goals and 12 assists in 50 outings last term (Transfermarkt).
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Vanaken is a real unit and has the kind of physicality needed to succeed in the Premier League.

There is one problem as far as we’re concerned though. The Club Brugge midfielder will be 30 later this month. That obviously doesn’t correlate with the Red Bull Model that David Moyes supposedly wants to implement at the London Stadium.
Moving to the Premier League from the Belgian league and succeeding is a tough ask for anybody. Let alone someone who is touching 30.
We think that there are better options out there for Moyes to explore this summer.
If West Ham could pick Vanaken up for around £10 million or so, it would be decent business. If Club Brugge demand anything more than that though, we should just walk away.
