Leeds have allegedly made the first move to sign West Ham United transfer target Ben Brereton Diaz in the summer transfer window.
AS claim that Leeds have have made an enquiry for the 23-year-old Blackburn Rovers striker as Jesse Marsch tries to bolster his centre-forward ranks at Elland Road.

It seems as though Leeds have made the first move. But we have to say…that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

We think that West Ham should let the Whites have a free run at Brereton Diaz.
Leeds make first move for West Ham target Ben Brereton Diaz
The 23-year-old Blackburn hitman could be exit bound from Ewood Park this summer.
AS reckon that Leeds have ‘asked’ Rovers about signing Brereton Diaz in the summer transfer window.
We strongly believe that David Moyes should be setting his sights a lot higher though.
It would be a wise move from the Scot to allow Leeds a free run at the Chilean.

Brereton Diaz has only proven himself for one season, scoring 22 goals in 39 games for Blackburn last term (Transfermarkt).
He only has 40 goals in 184 career games to his name (Transfermarkt).
It’s not as if Brereton Diaz is awful. Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray once described the Chile international as an ‘extraordinary’ striker, (Lancs Live).
We believe that he’s nothing more than very average though.
It was first reported that Blackburn want around £25 million for Brereton Diaz (Claret and Hugh) whilst the Chilean version of AS reckon that he will cost closer to £13 million.
Either way, the Hammers could and should be doing a lot better than the 23-year-old forward. Give us Armando Broja or Gianluca Scamacca any day over the Blackburn man.
West Ham should just sit back and let Leeds sign Ben Brereton Diaz this summer.
