West Ham rocked as Borussia Dortmund reportedly line up summer bid for Youssef En-Nesyri

West Ham have been rocked with the news that Borussia Dortmund are lining up a summer bid for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

Eurosport are claiming that BVB are lining up a move to sign the 23-year-old Hammers target. He is thought to be a potential replacement for Erling Haaland.

If Dortmund’s reported interest in En-Nesyri materialises into a concrete bid, it will clearly be a huge problem for West Ham.

The Athletic claimed towards the end of January that the Hammers made a £27 million bid for the 23-year-old – one that was swiftly rejected by Sevilla.

And as recently as last week, it was claimed that West Ham have actually already submitted an offer for the Moroccan ahead of the summer transfer window (Il Milanista).

David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top class striker to the London Stadium this summer.

Youssef En-Nesyri would be absolutely perfect for the Hammers.

The Morocco international could be available for around €35 million (£30 million) this summer (Goal). He earns roughly £50k-a-week (Salary Sport).

The 23-year-old is lively, quick and has great mobility and movement. He is pretty good in the air as well. In short, he is a complete striker.

The Bundesliga giants obviously have a huge pull. That’s not to say that West Ham don’t.

BVB’s interest in En-Nesyri will surely make our task of signing him very hard, however.

If the Hammers qualify for Europe this season, we will still be in a very strong position to bring in Moyes’s key targets.

Let’s hope that the West Ham owners have the ambition required to take us forward. The signing of En-Nesyri would certainly demonstrate said ambition. And hopefully we have what it takes to beat Dortmund to his signature this summer.
