The Hammers welcome the Whites to Elland Road in the final game of the weekend.

David Moyes has worked wonders since taking over at the London Stadium.

And the same can be said of Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.

Both sides have enjoyed relatively successful campaigns so far this season – West Ham especially.

We are currently sitting in sixth spot in the Premier League table. A win against Leeds on Monday will see us move back inside the top five, however, with Chelsea playing host to Everton.

Bielsa’s men can jump inside the top half with a win at the London Stadium.

Mark Lawrenson backed West Ham to get the job done against Leeds, however, when writing his regular column for BBC Sport:

“Leeds are very up and down at the moment – they are a bit like Aston Villa in that they are hard to predict. West Ham have been far more consistent, which is why they are in the race for the top four. Yes, they lost at Manchester City last weekend but that was still a very good performance. If Kalvin Phillips is back in the Leeds midfield then that improves their chances, but I’m backing the Hammers to maintain their impressive form.”

Lawro’s prediction: 2-0

That is a very interesting prediction from Lawro.

Leeds have scored 43 goals in 26 Premier League games this season – only four teams have scored more in the division.

Bielsa’s men are a wonderfully exciting team to watch. Sure, the Whites are vulnerable at the back but they attack with speed, precision and craft.

West Ham are well organised defensively, but keeping Leeds at bay for 90 minutes will be a very tough task for the East London club.

A 2-0 win really would be a great result. Let’s just hope that Lawrenson has got this one spot on!
