West Ham United v Chelsea - Premier League

West Ham reportedly set for head to head battle with Atletico Madrid for signing of Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer

West Ham are set to go head to head with Atletico Madrid for the signing of Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer this summer.

That’s according to a report from Italian website Calcio Mercato who claim that Kamara is at the centre of a transfer tussle between the Hammers and Atleti.

Central midfield is clearly an area at the London Stadium where West Ham boss David Moyes needs to strengthen before the start of next season.

Goal and The Sun recently claimed that Marseille ace Kamara is a key transfer target for the Scot in the summer window.

We believe that the 22-year-old would be the perfect summer signing for the Hammers.

It seems as though we will have a real battle on our hands for his signature when he becomes a free agent though…

West Ham face battle with Atletico Madrid for Kamara free transfer

Calcio Mercato reckon that the Hammers are set for a transfer tussle with the La Liga giants for the brilliant Frenchman’s signature in the summer transfer window.

The East London outfit really should be going all out for Kamara. He would be a truly stunning addition to Moyes’s ranks.

Kamara is a special, special talent and he is one of the few players on the planet who could actually replace Declan Rice if the unthinkable does happen and he ends up leaving the London Stadium.

The Marseille defensive midfielder would undoubtedly take us to another level entirely. He is a quite brilliant young player and Milan Reports describe the Frenchman as a ‘sensational’ talent.

In 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille this season, Kamara has averaged 2.1 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per match. He’s made 70.1 passes on average per game and has recorded an incredibly successful completion rate of 90.7% (Who Scored).

The 22-year-old is energetic, dynamic and would add some much needed athleticism and bite to West Ham’s central midfield ranks.

The Marseille ace is one of the very best at what he does in world football. He is very much a defence-minded central midfielder and would provide a really solid level of cover for our defenders.

Hopefully the lure of Premier League football will enable West Ham to beat Atleti to the free transfer signing of Kamara this summer.

The 22-year-old Frenchman would be an exceptional addition for the Hammers. We think that there is every chance that this one will happen. Let’s just hope that he’s signed as competition for Declan Rice and not as a replacement for him!
