This seems to make total sense to us.
The Hammers have long been linked with a move to sign the 23-year-old centre-back.
West Ham made a £23 million bid for the Fiorentina defender during last summer’s transfer window according to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio.
David Moyes is keen to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium.

And the Scot has allegedly decided against a move for James Tarkowski in favour of pursuing younger targets according to a report from The Daily Mail.
West Ham to make new Milenkovic bid
The Hammers are ready to make an offer for the Serbia international (Viola News).
And we think Milenkovic would be an outstanding addition for us.
La Nazione. recently claimed that West Ham are actually leading the race to sign the centre-back.

Calcio Mercato claims Milenkovic could be available for just £25 million this summer.
In 34 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina this season, the Serbian scored three goals and registered one assist. In those outings, he averaged 1.4 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, 3.6 clearances and one block per match. The 23-year-old won an average of 3 aerial duals per game. He also had an 86% pass completion rate from an average of 46.6 passes per match (Who Scored).
He has been described as the ‘new Nemanja Vidic’ (Football.London).
£25 million does seem a little steep for a player with just one year remaining on his current deal, however.

If West Ham could get him signed up for £20 million or even less, it would be a fantastic deal. We think this one has some real legs. Let’s hope we’re right!
