Hammers boss David Moyes is desperately keen to add more quality and youth to his centre-back ranks at the London Stadium this summer (Claret and Hugh).

Fabian Balbuena has already left West Ham on a free whilst Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson are 33 and 31 respectively.

He faces an uncertain future with Liverpool, however. Jurgen Klopp will welcome Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip back to action next term.

And that surely means that Phillips will barely get a chance to feature at Anfield.

The Hammers shouldn’t hesitate to swoop in.

£10 million for the 24-year-old Liverpool ace would represent truly incredible value for the East London outfit.

In 17 Premier League outings for the Reds last season, the 24-year-old averaged 1.3 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 4.8 clearances and 0.8 blocks per game. He also won an average of 5.6 aerial duels per match during those appearances (Who Scored).

Phillips is a real warrior. He is an absolute monster in the air and isn’t afraid to mix things up physically with opposing centre-forwards.

The 24-year-old has proven that he is good enough to produce the goods at the very highest level over the past year.

The Hammers fans will know all about the bone-crunching defender. Phillips was superb against us both times this season.

And if Moyes can sign him for just £10 million this summer, it should be an absolute no-brainer for the Scot.
