West Ham have slapped a €15 million (£12.6 million) price-tag on the head of Issa Diop amidst continual links with Lyon.

That’s according to a report from Foot Mercato who claim that Lyon are very keen to sign the Hammers centre-back.

We have covered two stories from the French media about Lyon chasing Diop over the past two days right here on Hammers News.

West Ham boss David Moyes should be looking to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium during the summer transfer window.

Moyes really should be looking to increase his numbers, not lessen them.

If the Scot wants to make an upgrade though, selling Diop and bringing in someone else will be a sure-fire way of doing just that.

The 25-year-old clearly isn’t good enough to be playing regular Premier League football. And it seems as though the Hammers could be ready to cash in on the centre-back…

West Ham are prepared to sell Issa Diop

That’s according to a report from Foot Mercato who claim that the 25-year-old is no longer wanted or needed at the London Stadium.

And the Hammers are allegedly prepared to sell Diop for €15 million (£12.6 million).

That would represent a £12.4 million loss on the £25 million that we paid Toulouse for his services nearly four years ago (The Express).

In all fairness though, that kind of fee would represent decent business for West Ham, such has been the drastic regression of Diop over there past 18 months or so.

The 25-year-old has been a liability for West Ham whenever he has played this season. He has no positional sense and continues to make extremely rash decisions that have proved costly for us.

Moving him on his the right call. Whether Lyon will be prepared to pay £12.6 million for his services in the summer remains to be seen though.
