West Ham United are reportedly keen to sign talented midfielder Conor Gallagher from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from The Daily Star who claim that the Hammers will face competition from Crystal Palace and Everton for the Chelsea ace’s signature.
Central midfield is definitely an area at the London Stadium where West Ham manager David Moyes will want to strengthen in the summer transfer window.
Mark Noble played his last game for the Hammers on Sunday whilst Alex Kral will almost certainly be sent back to Spartak Moscow after his disappointing loan spell in East London.
Chelsea ace Gallagher has spent this season on loan with Crystal Palace and has been a huge hit. It seems as though the young Englishman could be plying his trade in a different part of London next season…
West Ham eyeing summer move to sign Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher
The Daily Star reckon that the Hammers are set to battle it out with Palace and Everton for the 22-year-old’s services this summer.
We believe that the midfielder would be an exceptional addition for West Ham.
Gallagher has been lighting it up during his loan spell with Crystal Palace this season.
He has bagged eight goals and three assists in 34 Premier League games for Palace (Transfermarkt).
During those appearances, the 22-year-old has averaged 2.4 tackles, 1.7 dribbles and 1.3 key passes per game (Who Scored).
He has incredible energy, drive, passion, determination and commitment to the cause. On top of all that as well, Gallagher is incredibly gifted from a technical perspective.
The Chelsea ace would be the ideal accompaniment to Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek in the middle of the park.
His form undoubtedly tailed off during the final few months of the season, but his talent still remains.
The 22-year-old’s quality and potential is unquestionable.
Chelsea will demand around £40 million for the midfielder this summer (The Express).
And if West Ham do manage to sign Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher in the summer transfer window, it will be an incredibly exciting transfer for the club.
