West Ham are really interested in signing Marseille centare-back Duje Caleta-Car according to a report from ExWHUemployee.

Ex claims that the Hammers are in talks to sign Chelsea ace Kurt Zouma.

The deal is still a long way off being done, however.

So it seems as though David Moyes is eyeing Caleta-Car as well.

The Croatian would be a very strong addition for West Ham. He was omitted from Marseille’s squad at the weekend too.

So it seems as though there could be some legs in that.

West Ham ‘really’ interested in Caleta-Car

ExWHUemployee has suggested that the Hammers are showing strong interest in signing the 24-year-old Marseille centre-back.

Marseille could be willing to sell Caleta-Car for around £14 million (L’Equipe). And they are allegedly sitting back and waiting for the Hammers to make a concrete bid for the centre-back.

That is unbelievable value.

The towering central defender would be a very smart addition for West Ham.

In 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille last season, the Croatian scored two goals and registered one assist. In those outings, the Croatian averaged 0.9 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 3.9 clearances per game. He also won an average of 2.5 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).

Caleta-Car is a very strong all-round defender and he would improve the Hammers’ backline immeasurably.
