West Ham have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Alphonse Areola according to a report from L’Equipe.
In other news…Report: West Ham to listen to offers for £3.4m attacker this summer
Hammers boss David Moyes is obviously very keen to bolster his goalkeeping ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
Areola would be an exceptional addition for West Ham. The problem is that we want a loan deal with an option to buy whilst PSG would prefer a straight up sale (Foot Mercato).

It seems as though that issue may well have been solved now, however.
West Ham reach agreement to sign Areola
L’Equipe are now claiming that an agreement has been reached between the Hammers and PSG that will see the 28-year-old join the East London outfit on loan for the season.
We will then have an option to buy the Frenchman next year.

That seems like a good deal all round for us.
Moyes will be getting a top class goalkeeper who will undoubtedly strengthen our starting XI whilst keeping his powered dry to bolster other areas of the squad.
Hopefully L’Equipe are spot on with this report because Areola really is a top class stopper.
The French publication are usually very reliable so let’s keep our fingers crossed…
