West Ham now want to sign 25-year-old Premier League striker as replacement for Scamacca

The Mirror reckon that the Hammers are lining up a move to sign Solanke as a replacement for the Italian, and have made an enquiry for the Bournemouth forward.

He has scored just nine goals in 75 Premier League games for the Cherries (Transfermarkt) – a truly woeful return for a centre-forward.

Solanke is a decent target man and holds the ball up fairly well but he isn’t anywhere near Premier League quality as far as I’m concerned.

There are so many better options out there for West Ham this summer, and in all honesty, West Ham would have been far better off just keeping Gianluca Scamacca.
