The Hammers’ need to sign a new striker has now reached desperation levels.
David Moyes surely cannot head into the new Premier League campaign with only Michail Antonio to call upon.
West Ham have already been linked with numerous strikers since the transfer window opened.

And now there is another name to add to the list.
West Ham want Jovic
Eurosport claims that the Hammers want to bring the 23-year-old to the London Stadium this summer.
The 14-capped Serbia international allegedly doesn’t have any kind of future under Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti at Madrid.
Jovic earns £163k-a-week at the Santiago Bernabeu according to Salary Sport.

We have to say, this one seems highly unlikely.
Unless we can secure some kind of loan deal for the Serbian whereby Madrid pay the majority of his wages, we can safely say that there is no chance Jovic will be rocking up at the London Stadium this summer.
Jovic is a good player but his struggles over the past 18 months or so will surely have dented his confidence.
Moyes needs to bring in a striker who is flying. The Real Madrid man doesn’t fit into that category.

And the finances involved means that a move to sign Jovic is simply not viable for West Ham.
